And so is his talent for combining Eastern and Western design into pieces that are simultaneously modern and classically luxurious. SALAMOUN WAS ONLY 20 YEARS OLD WHEN HIS FASHION SHOW AT INTERCONTINENTAL PHOENICIA ROCKED THE PRESS AND PUBLIC. As a child, he would draw designs on anything he could get his hands on, even the school chalkboard....At 10, after designing his first dress for his mother, Salamoun was invited by the experienced tailors who sewed his first dress to work with them. After studying in fashion schools and working at high-end international fashion houses in Lebanon, Salamoun became an independent designer at the proper age of 18.
