وفقالزودياك الصينية سنة 2012 هي سنة التنين . تبدأ في 23 يناير 2012 وتنتهي في 9 فبراير 2013م .
التنين هو الحيوان الخامس من الزودياك الصيني الذي يتكون من 12 حيوان . الدورة كل 12 عاما.
في الصين القديمة كان التنين زمز الامبراطور والقوة ، اما اليوم فهو رمز النجاح والسعادة والحظ
مواليد سنة التنين لهم صفات معينة ، يتميزون بحب المغامرة، ويتحلون يالشجاعة ،
لديهم حماسة كبيرة و قدرات ابداعية لكنهم مغرورون وسريعي الغضب .
ونتيجة جهدهم الزائد فإنهم غالبا ما يصابون بالصداع والتوتر والاكتئاب وضغط الدم .

هناك عدة روايات عن كيفية ترتيب الحيوانات في البرج الصيني . احدى هذه الروايات تقول
ان الامبراطور جاد (كان لطيفا حكيما كرس حياته للفقراء والمحتاجين ) نظم سباقا في السباحة
لجميع هذه الحيوانات لعبور النهر ..فجاء ترتيب التنين الخامس .
