تطوّرت وسائل الاتصال بين البشر حديثاً بصورةٍ سريعةٍ ، فبعد أن كان الاتصال قديماً يتمّ عن طريق الحمام الزّاجل والرّسل ، تطوّر الأمر ليصل إلى البريد الورقيّ والهاتف وغيره حتى وصلنا إلى قمّة التّطور في طرق التّواصل والاتصال حيث ظهر الهاتف الخليويّ والشّبكة العنكبوتيّة ( الإنترنت ) ، فصار العالم كأنّه قريةٌ صغيرةٌ لا تباعد بين أقطارها وأصبح البشر يتواصلون بعضهم ببعض بيسرٍ وسهولةٍ وبدون حواجز وتخطّوا عقبات المسافة والحدود الجغرافيّة ، فترى إنساناً يقيم في قارة أستراليا يتواصل عن طريق الهاتف أو الإنترنت بشخصٍ يبعد عنه آلاف الأميال ، فالتّقنيّة الحديثة قرّبت البشر بعضهم إلى بعض فكانت لها المزايا الكبيرة وإن تخلّلتها بعض السّلبيات .

و قد ظهرت حديثاً في صورةٍ من صور التّطور في التّواصل عددٌ من المواقع الاجتماعيّة على الشّبكة العنكبوتيّة فكان منها مثلاً موقع الفيسبوك وتويتر ، وقد أتاحت هذه المواقع الإجتماعيّة للنّاس فرصة التّواصل بوضع الصّور والتّواصل عن طريق الكتابة والمحادثة الصّوتية ، بل وإنّ هذه المواقع قد أتاحت للنّاس فرصة التّعلم والتّعليم ومشاركة ملفات الفيديو المختلفة ومتابعة الأخبار بصورةٍ آنيةٍ محدّثةٍ دائماً ، فشبكات التّواصل الإجتماعي ساهمت ببناء قاعدةٍ علميةٍ ومعرفيةٍ وسهّلت الوصول إلى المعلومة وجعلتها بمتناول يد النّاس .

و على الرغم من مزايا شبكات التّواصل الاجتماعي الكثيرة إلا أنّه قد ثبت أنّها لها عيوب وسلبيات ، فالإنسان حين يجلس ساعاتٍ كثيرةٍ أمام الحاسوب وتلهيه تلك المواقع عن ذكر الله وعن العبادة فربّما أخّر صلاته أو نسيها بسبب انشغاله بها ، وقد علمنا ما تحفل به تلك المواقع من صفحات التّسلية والألعاب ، فالإنسان الحكيم يعرف كيف يستفيد منها بصورةٍ لا تشغله عن العبادة والتّواصل الحسيّ الماديّ مع النّاس ، فخدمة النّاس في أحيائهم وزيارتهم في بيوتهم وتفقّد أحوال الفقراء بل وأن يربت المسلم بيده على رأس اليتيم أفضل من تواصله معهم عن طريق تلك المواقع وأشدّ حميميّة ، ولا ريب أنّ شدّة التّعلق بتلك المواقع يجعل الإنسان انعزالياً يحب الانطواء فضلاً عن ما تسبّبه تلك المواقع أحياناً من تسهيل التّواصل المحرّم بين الجنسين ، فتلك المواقع هي سلاحٌ ذو حدّين ، وعلى الانسان حسن استعمالها بما يحقّق له الفائدة والمنفعة .
