برنامج سكايب (Skype) هو برنامج اتصالات يمكِّن مستخدميه من الإتصال هاتفياً أو عن طريق مكالمات الفيديو مجاناً لمستخدمي هذا البرنامج فيما بينهم. وقد أُنشيء هذا البرنامج في عام 2003م حيث كانت أول إطلاقة له؛ وبدأ واستمر في العمل حتى قامت شركة مايكروسوف بشرائه في العام 2011م بقيمة 8,500 مليون دولار، وهو مستمرٌ إلى الآن. إن برنامج سكايب للإتصالات برنامجٌ مجاني متعدِّد اللغات، وجميع المكالمات بين المستخدمين مجانية، أما خارج المستخدمين؛ فتكون التعرفة مخفَّضة؛ ويجب دفع القيمة التي ينوي المستخدم استهلاكها مقدَّماً، ولا يشترط أن يستهلكها كلها مرة واحدة، بل هي مثل الرصيد تكون حاضرة في أي وقت يحتاجه؛ وليس له تاريخ نهاية صلاحية.


للحصول على حساب في هذا البرنامج؛ يجب عليك أولاً أن تقوم بالدخول على الموقع الرسمي له؛ ثم الضغط على خانة التنزيل والتي ستجدها أمامك على الشاشة فور دخولك إلى الموقع. سيطلب منك الموقع تحديد مكان رغبتك في مكان تخزين الملف الذي أنت على وشك تحميله، حدد له المكان واضغط موافق ليبدأ التحميل فوراً. بعد الإنتهاء من التحميل؛ قم بالضغط على الملف لفتحه وبدء عملية الإعدادات، سيبدأ تنصيب البرنامج وتثبيته على جهازك؛ ثم يقوم بفتح شاشة البرنامج أمامك على الشاشة. الآن سيقوم البرنامج بسؤالك إن كنتَ مُسجِّلاً من قبل البرنامج أم ترغب في تسجيل اسمٍ جديد، اضغط على تسجيل اسم جديد، ستظهر لك الآن شاشة تطلب منك المعلومات الضرورية لإنشاء حسابك، أدخل المعلومات المطلوبة في الخانات، وهي اسمك واسم العائلة؛ ثم بريدك الإلكتروني ويجب كتابته كاملاً وصحيحاً، سيطلب منك البرنامج إعادة كتابة بريدك الإلكتروني للتأكد منه. بعدها يأتي دور المعلومات الشخصية مثل الجنس وتاريخ الميلاد والبلد والمدينة التي تعيش فيها، ادخل رقم هاتفك في المكان المخصص لذلك، ثم اختر طريقك استخدامك للبرنامج، هل هو استخدام شخصي أو للعمل؛ اختر الاستخدام الشخصي.


جاء الآن موعد اختيار الاسم الذي ستدخل فيه على البرنامج، اختر اسماً يُعبر عنك ويكون سهلاً وقريباً منك، بعد ذلك اختر كلمة المرور التي ستستخدمها للدخول إلى البرنامج، اجعلها سهلة الحفظ لديك ولكن لا تنسى أن تُراعي قواعد الأمان عند اختيار كلمة المرور؛ حتى لا يتمكن احدٌ من الحصول عليها واختراق حسابك. أدخِل كلمة المرور مرة أخرى حتى يتاكد البرنامج من أنك تعرفها جيداً؛ ثم أدخل الرمز الموجود في الصورة للتحقق من أنك إنسانٌ طبيعي ولستَ برنامج قرصنة. عند الإنتهاء من جميع هذه الخطوات وملء الخانات الإجبارية؛ قم بالضغط على متابعة؛ لتدخل إلى البرنامج الآن. سيطلب منك البرنامج إضافة رصيد للمكالمات التي تنوي إجراءها مع أشخاص غير مشتركين بخدمة السكايب، تخطَّى هذه المرحلة؛ وستدخل الآن إلى الشاشة الخاصة بحساك على سكايب.
