تطبيق فيس بوك لايت هو نسخة اخري من برنامج الفيسبوك تم تطويره من الصفر، لكي يعمل بشكل سلس في حالات الإتصال البطئ بالإنترنت وأيضا للعمل علي الهواتف ذات الإمكانيات المنخفضة المواصفات، وقد أوضحت فيس بوك بأنه تطبيق لكل العالم، والقصد هنا بأنه تطبيق يعمل حتي في المناطق التي بها شبكات إتصال ضعيفة ومحدودة للدخول علي الإنترنت.
