تقع بودروم التركية عند ساحل البحر الأبيض المتوسط على الريفييرا التركية, جنوب غرب تركيا. بُودروم مدينة صغيرة لها ميناء جميل والناس يقصدونها من أجل الإبحار والسباحة والغوص والحمام التركيّ. كما أنّ السياحة فيها مكتظة وشبابية وحُرّة جدًا، وقد سُميت بسبب ذلك "المدينة التي لا تنام"، مثل متاجرها التي تظل تعمل ٢٤ ساعة.

وتحظى بودروم بلقب آخر وهو "لؤلؤة تركيا"، وهي موطن ميلاد ''هيرودوت'' وقلعة القديس بيتر، وفيها دُفن الملك موسولوس. بيوت ومباني بودروم بيضاء منحوتة في جبال خضراء، ويمكنك رؤية صورتك واضحة في مياه بحرها لشدة صفائها. ومن هذه المياه تنطلق يخوت تجوب عشرات الجزر المحيطة، فتحولت بودروم بذلك إلى مزار رائج لدى السياح الغربيين والأجانب بحيث يتجاوز عددهم الملايين. ويفوق عدد سكان بودروم ١٢٠,٠٠٠ نسمة.

تبعد بودروم عن إسطنبول قرابة ٩٠٠ كيلومتر، وتنتشر فيها المطاعم التقليدية والحانات والمقاهي ومتاجر الألبسة والحليّ. وبالقرب من المدينة تقع شبه جزيرة بودروم، التي يمكن زيارتها وزيارة مناظرها الطبيعية الخلابة والساحرة، التي تنتشر في أنحائها بيارات الليمون والمندرين.

في بودروم مناطق جذب سياحية أخرى باستثناء البحر والشاطئ والنوادي، ومن أبرزها: قصر "سان بيار"، وضريح اليكارناس ومسرح المدينة الغنائي من الفترة الهيلينية و"ترك بوكو"، وهي بلدة صيادين قدامى، وإفس الأثرية التي تحوي مسرحًا رومانيًا ضخمًا، ونادي MALIKARNAS، حيث يراه البعض أفضل نادٍ في تركيا وربما العالم، فهو يقع في الهواء الطلق على شاطئ البحر.

تتمتع بودروم بمناخ بحر متوسطيّ. الشتاء فيها بارد قليلا (١٥ درجة في المعدل) والصيف حار (٣٤ درجة في المعدل) والشمس فيه تكون ساحرة (رغم الرطوبة).

بودروم تبعد ٣٠ كيلومترًا عن مطار ميلز شمالي المدينة، وهو المطار الذي يربط بودروم بأرجاء العالم
